Pastor Jerry Eze: Biography and Ministry

Pastor Jerry Eze, whose full name is Jerry Uchechukwu Eze, is the founder and president of Streams of Joy International Ministries and the convener of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declaration (NSPPD), a globally recognized online prayer meeting.

He was born on August 22, 1982, in Item, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, Nigeria. He grew up in Umuahia, where he attended Ibeku High School from 1991 to 1997. After his secondary education, he proceeded to Abia State University, where he obtained a degree in History and International Relations.

While at the university, he became the pastor of the school chapel, known as All Saints Church. After graduation, he furthered his studies, earning a master’s degree in Human Resource Management.

During his master’s program, he worked as a Communications Specialist with the World Bank’s HIV/AIDS project and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) before transitioning into full-time ministry. In 2009, he started his pastoral work at All Saints Chapel. However, in 2011, he founded Streams of Joy International Church in Abia State.

Streams of Joy International

Streams of Joy International is headquartered at Kilometer 4, Ikot Ekpene Road, Umuahia, Abia State, with branches in Nottingham, United Kingdom; Houston, Texas, United States; Calgary, Canada; Abuja, Nigeria; and several other locations across the country.

His teachings and messages inspire hope and personal transformation. Currently, over 5,000 members worship across the church's various branches, with Pastor Jerry Eze serving as the lead pastor. The ministry holds six services every Sunday.

The Birth of NSPPD

At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Pastor Jerry Eze launched an online prayer session called The New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD). Hosted on YouTube and other social media platforms, this digital prayer session rapidly gained traction, attracting millions of viewers daily and becoming one of the largest online prayer gatherings worldwide.

Family Life

Pastor Jerry Eze is happily married to his wife, Mrs. Eno Jerry, and they are blessed with two children—a daughter, Samara, and a son, Jerry. He met his wife while preaching at a campus fellowship where she served as a fellowship executive.

Mrs. Eno Jerry was born on February 22 in Calabar, Cross River State. She serves as the resident pastor of The Refreshing Point, a ministry expression for youth and singles within Streams of Joy. She is also the convener of the Pastors’ Wives and Women in Ministry Conference and the founder of the Women on Fire Network, an organization dedicated to empowering and supporting pastors' wives and women in ministry.
