Prominent Nigerian Pastors and the Ages at Which They Got Married

 

Nigeria is a country blessed with many anointed men of God. The impact of these men in building people’s faith and shaping their lives to fulfill their God-given potential is felt not only in Nigeria but beyond.

As the age-old saying goes, "Behind every successful man, there is a successful woman." These pastors are married to wonderful wives who have played significant roles in shaping them into who they are today. In this article, we will look at the ages at which these pastors got married and who their spouses are.

1. Bishop David Oyedepo

Bishop David Oyedepo is the founder and General Overseer of Living Faith Church Worldwide, popularly known as Winner’s Chapel. He married Florence Abiola Akano, now known as Faith Oyedepo, in August 1982 at the age of 28. As of now, their marriage has lasted 42 years, and they are blessed with four children: David Oyedepo Jr., Isaac Oyedepo, Love Oyedepo, and Joyce Oyedepo.

2. Pastor Paul Enenche

Pastor Paul Enenche is the founder and senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre. He married Becky Enenche in 1994 at the age of 26. Their marriage has now lasted 30 years, and they are blessed with four children: Deborah Enenche, Daniella Enenche, Destiny Enenche, and Daniel Enenche.

3. Pastor Enoch Adeboye

Pastor Enoch Adeboye is the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. He married Foluke Adeboye on December 17, 1967, at the age of 25. Their marriage has now lasted 57 years, and they are blessed with four children: Adeolu Adeboye, Bolu Adubi, Dare Adeboye, and Leke Adeboye.

Sadly, their third child, Dare Adeboye, passed away in his sleep on May 4, 2021, at the age of 42.

4. Dr. Uma Ukpai

Dr. Uma Ukpai is an evangelist and the founder of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, a non-denominational ministry based in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. He married Philomena Uma Ukpai in 1975 at the age of 30. Their marriage has now lasted 49 years, and they are blessed with eight children and one adopted child.

Tragically, he lost two of his children in a car accident. His car plunged into a river while on his way to a crusade. Both children drowned, while he and his wife survived.

5. Pastor W.F. Kumuyi

Pastor W.F. Kumuyi is the founder of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry. He married Abiodun Kumuyi on September 13, 1980, at the age of 39. They had two children, Jeremiah and John.

Sadly, Abiodun passed away on April 11, 2009, after 29 years of marriage.

On October 13, 2010—exactly 18 months after his first wife’s passing—he married Folashade Adenike Blaize in London. Folashade was the administrator of the Deeper Life Bible Church, London.

6. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is the founding pastor of Christ Embassy. He married Anita Ebhodaghe on February 2, 1991, at the age of 28.

However, after 25 years of marriage, they divorced in 2016. They have two children: Sharon and Charlene Oyakhilome.

7. Apostle Arome Osayi

Apostle Arome Osayi is the founder of Remnant Christian Network, a ministry headquartered in Makurdi, Benue State. He married Dinna Osayi on October 18, 2008, at the age of 31.

They have two children but sadly lost a third child to miscarriage.
