HOW AMAPIANO IS INFILTRATING AND KILLING THE MODERN NIGERIAN CHURCHES
Amapiano is a music genre that has become very popular among African youths. This genre is identified by a log drum which creates the momentum for the song and is played very well at clubs.
There is a total disconnection between this music pattern and what the church is supposed to represent. In fact, major artists in this genre are drug addicts and fornicators who do not have respect for God or Christianity.
Unfortunately, this unholy music sound is slowly infiltrating the church and the church is enjoying it as if there's nothing wrong with it.
Gospel ministers have introduced it to the church and there are now several amapiano gospel songs. Some of them include "Who Goes That Man" by Prinx Emmanuel, "Omo Baba" by Spirit Of Prophecy, "Commando" by Greatman Takit and Korale, "Elee" by highly anointed pastor Paul Enenche.
Playing and dancing amapiano in the church give a bad image of the church. It simply implies we are appetized by what happens in the world but since we cannot go to the world, we have to blend it in a way it will suit us in the church.
How do we intend to retain the presence of the holyspirit in the church with a song like amapiano gospel? It is impossible. Every song we sing in the church, wether praise or worship should be able to edify our lives and glorify the lord.
I pray the church wake up and reject this now that its still early
