The Great White Throne Judgment

The Great White Throne Judgment is a prophecy revealed to John the Beloved while he was on the Isle of Patmos, as documented in Revelation 20:11-15. At this historic event, everyone will stand before God, the Judge of all the earth, and give an account of how they have lived.

This event will take place at the very end of time. It will be preceded by the Second Advent of Christ, followed by the Battle of Armageddon, the binding of Satan, the millennial reign of Christ, the final rebellion, and then the Great White Throne Judgment.

At this judgment, the dead—both small and great—who have been buried for thousands of years shall come forth. Even if their bodies have been cremated and their ashes scattered as high as twelve, fifteen, or even twenty thousand feet in the air, or dispersed on mountain sides, the Almighty God will gather every particle of those ashes and restore them into a body. That person will stand on his feet before the Judge who sits upon the Great White Throne to give an account of his deeds.

Every evil work shall be brought into judgment—every secret, even those that have never been divulged to a close friend, shall be made open at that judgment. God has a record of them all.

At the Great White Throne, God will render His judgment according to whose name is written in the Book of Life. All those whose names are not found in the Book of Life will be cast into the lake of fire. The murderers, the unbelieving, the abominable, the whoremongers, the sorcerers, the idolaters, and all liars will be cast into the lake of fire, where they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. There is no end to the lake of fire—they will remain there eternally.

After this judgment, God will unveil a new heaven and a new Jerusalem, which will descend to the earth. The heavens that now exist will be no more.

This new heaven and new earth will surpass anything man can describe. Pain, tears, sorrow, crying, and even death will be abolished forever. There will be no cemeteries, nor will monuments be erected in memory of the dead (Revelation 20:14).

There will be no need for the sun or the moon, for the glory of God will illuminate the New Jerusalem and shine forth to give light to the whole earth. Time will no longer be marked by day and night, for there will be no night in the New Jerusalem. The power of darkness will be dispelled.

Revelation 22:12 says, "Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be."

The Lord is coming, and His coming is very imminent. Will your name be found in the Book of Life? Pray today and ask God for grace and mercy.

Thank you for reading. God bless you!
