Four Reasons Why Your Destiny is Stagnant

God designed every human to make progress at certain stages of life. But most of the time, a person whom God has ordained to live a meaningful life and destiny will face severe restrictions in making progress. When you experience prolonged limitations without even the slightest advancement, that becomes stagnation.

Unfortunately, many people have accepted this condition as normal, but it is not. Stagnation is a curse that must be broken so you can fulfill your destiny. These are four reasons why your destiny may still be stagnant.

1. Spiritual Causes

Every stagnation has its root in the spiritual realm. Apostle Paul says:

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."Ephesians 6:12

These forces tend to influence certain individuals to work against your progress at different times. Sometimes, you cannot even explain why you were rejected, why your relationship or marriage failed, or why your business collapsed. This is because spiritual forces have exerted their influence to work against you.

2. Low or Failure Mentality

The mind is a powerful instrument that can make a person either a champion or a failure. The Bible says:

"For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he."Proverbs 23:7

You cannot achieve progress if your mindset is not trained to think positively.

The failure you are experiencing may not necessarily be spiritual but could be a result of your mindset about certain areas of your life. Your mind may have been conditioned to believe that nothing good can come from you. You might think that the course you are about to venture into will not yield results. When you cannot see any good in a particular venture, there is little chance you will make progress in it.

3. Laziness and Inaction

Inaction is another reason why some people do not make progress in their lives. The Bible says:

"How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? When wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?"Proverbs 6:9

If you are not ready to take action toward progress, you will remain stagnant. You will be limited because you neglected your role in your own success.

4. Pride and Ego

Some people fail to progress because they are too prideful. There is nothing wrong with being confident, but when you become too sure of yourself and see yourself as above correction, it becomes an obstacle to progress.

The Bible warns:

"Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall."Proverbs 16:18

Pride makes one oblivious to various alternatives and options and, as a result, keeps them backward. Those who refuse to learn, adapt, or humble themselves will struggle to move forward in llife.
